One of my favorite areas on Oahu! Waimanalo Beach Park and the Sherwood Forest are famous for the white sand beaches, gorgeous blue waters, the sacred forests of beautiful trees and a backdrop overlooking the cliffs of Makapu’u. If you’re eloping to Hawaii, this location is certainly a great choice! It offers so much variety and many of those iconic views that come to mind when picturing Hawaii.
Waimanalo Beach gets the most beautiful sunsets. Being on the windward side of Oahu, it has a lengthy “golden hour” for capturing your wedding photos with the most magical light. Say your vows here with your toes in the sand, the waves crashing behind you and the quietness that happens as the daytime guests clear out. The Sherwood Forest offers a backdrop of a true Hawaiian style forest with local vegetation that’s just magical.
